HOUSTON ANNOUNCES UK TOUR DATES: Singer to begin promoting new set in April.


*Whitney Houston is set to tour the UK and Europe for the first time in over a decade with five arena dates across England and Scotland beginning in April.
“This tour is my first full tour since the ‘My Love Is Your Love’ tour in 1999 and I am so excited to be performing for my fans around the world after all this time," Houston said in a statement. "I am putting together a great gig and cannot wait to perform the songs from my new album ‘I Look to You’ along with some of your favorites."
The UK jaunt will start in Manchester on April 8 at the Manchester Evening News Arena, then, move to Glasgow at the S.E.C.C. April 11; Birmingham at the LG Arena April 13; Newcastle upon Tyne at the Metro Radio Arena April 22 and London’s O2 Arena April 25.
A May 13th date is set in Leipzig, Germany at the Leipzig Arena. Other stops include Hannover at the TUI Arena May 16; Hamburg at the Color Line Arena May 17; Munich at Olympiahalle May 21; Stuttgart at Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle May 22; Oberhausen at Konig-Pilsener Arena May 26 and Mannheim at the SAP Arena May 29.
The 46-year-old star will also make a TV appearance on talent show "The X Factor" this Sunday - her first UK TV appearance in 12 years.

Whitney Houston: Announce UK tour dates


Whitney Houston will kick off a European tour with five dates in the UK next year.
The singer, 46, whose return album I Look To You is released in the UK on 19 October, will start the tour in Manchester on Thursday 8 April.
She will also play in Glasgow, Birmingham and Newcastle before finishing the UK dates at London's O2 arena on 25 April.
Tickets for the dates will go on sale on Friday morning.
Houston is due to give her first UK TV performance in 12 years on Sunday night on ITV1's The X Factor.
Since 2002 I Look To You her first studio album its release there in September was a US number one following.
Last month, Houston told chat show host Oprah Winfrey she was now drug free but faced a daily struggle to stay clean.
